Audubon Schools, having just received its daycare license from the State for its Gentilly school, announced the addition of a much-anticipated Pre-K 3 program offering 35 seats available for prospective students who turned 3-years-old on or before September 30, 2019.            Interested applicants can apply between November 20, 2019 and December 20, 2019 by visiting a Family Resource Center to fill out an application, and submit verification documents. “We are so excited to be able to add a Pre-K 3 grade to our Gentilly Campus,” said Audubon Schools CEO Latoye Brown. “The demand is so high for a quality early childhood program, that we felt compelled to act.  Our parents and community needed a safe, nurturing environment for their children to grow and thrive and Audubon’s proven model of success works.”Due to anticipated high demand for the new program, NOLA Public Schools determined the most equitable way to fill these seats is by an application and lottery process.  The program will be a combination free and tuition program.  Parents must provide a photo ID, two (2) documents showing proof of Orleans Parish residency and the child’s birth certificate. For families applying for non-tuition seats, income eligibility will be determined using the state’s LA4 guidelines. The priorities for this program will align with the priorities currently used at Audubon Gentilly.
