Applications currently being accepted through EnrollNOLA

Audubon Schools, having just received its daycare license from the State for its Gentilly school, announced the addition of a much-anticipated Pre-K 3 program offering 35 seats available for prospective students who turned 3-years-old on or before September 30, 2019.            Interested applicants can apply between November 20, 2019 and December 20, 2019 by visiting a Family Resource Center to fill out an application, and submit verification documents. Applicants should go to: https://enrollnola.org/audubongentillypk3/ for more information about the required documents to apply. Notifications to applicants will be made the week of January 6, 2020. Students will begin class on January 22, 2020.            “We are so excited to be able to add a Pre-K 3 grade to our Gentilly Campus,” said Audubon Schools CEO Latoye Brown. “The demand is so high for a quality early childhood program, that we felt compelled to act.  Our parents and community needed a safe, nurturing environment for their children to grow and thrive and Audubon’s proven model of success works.”Due to anticipated high demand for the new program, NOLA Public Schools determined the most equitable way to fill these seats is by an application and lottery process.  The program will be a combination free and tuition program.  Parents must provide a photo ID, two (2) documents showing proof of Orleans Parish residency and the child’s birth certificate. For families applying for non-tuition seats, income eligibility will be determined using the state’s LA4 guidelines. The priorities for this program will align with the priorities currently used at Audubon Gentilly. More information can be found at https://enrollnola.org/audubongentillypk3/Families interested in Audubon as a school for the 2020-21 school year, should go to enrollnola.org to apply beginning Friday, November 22, 2019. Audubon Gentilly combines Audubon Charter School – Uptown’s Montessori and French curricula into a new Bilingual Montessori French Immersion model. It will add one grade level per year until reaching grades Pre-K 3 through 8thgrade. The Bilingual Montessori French Immersion Model is the only program of its kind in the State of Louisiana. Students will receive instruction from both a Montessori Lead Teacher and a French speaking Co-Teacher with materials in both English and French.CEO Brown reiterated that applicants for the 2020-21 school year should follow the regular OneApp dates for enrollment applications starting Friday, November 22.For more information, call (504) 324-7100, email admissions@auduboncharter.com, or go to www.auduboncharter.com
