Morris Jeff Community School Student Selected to Attend Laureus Youth Leadership Summit in Los Angeles

Nadia Reitmeyer, a rising 11th grade student at Morris Jeff Community School, was selected to attend the first ever Laureus Youth Leadership Summit in Los Angeles over the summer. As a member of the Morris Jeff Youth Run NOLAClub, she was recognized and selected to represent New Orleans at this national summit. The LaureusYouth Leadership Summit is a conference dedicated to empowering young leaders and strengthening youth-serving programs. During the week of the ESPYs and the ESPN Humanitarian Awards, the Summit put youth voice at the center of the conversation as the role sport can play in building leaders was explored. Nadia was one of 100 youth from across the country to connect with 100 leaders to share insights on how to best design youth-serving programs.
