Morris Jeff Community School Music Teacher Selected to 
Draft Music Curriculum with Library of Congress
 
Morris Jeff Community School elementary school music teacher and PYP Arts Enrichment team leader Steven Kennedy has been chosen by the National Association for Music Education (NAFME) to write curriculum units based on primary archival materials from the Library of Congress connected to music. Kennedy was chosen along with a handful of other music educators from around the country to participate in the year-long program and will travel to Washington, DC in mid-October to begin drafting the curriculum.  He will spend a day at the Library of Congress, working with professional librarians in the performing arts and recorded sound specialty centers.
