Morris Jeff to Host 10th Annual Community Gala on Nov. 16

Gala will feature Preservation Hall Jazz Band and global cuisine from Mid-City restaurants and bars Morris Jeff Community School will hold its 10th Annual Community Gala to benefit the school on Saturday, November 16 at Morris Jeff at 211 S. Lopez St. in Mid-City.  The Patron Party will begin at 6pm and the Gala is from 7-10pm.  Guests will enjoy music by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, global cuisine from New Orleansrestaurants and bars, a silent auction, and wine wheel. All proceeds will benefit Morris Jeff Community School, an open-access International Baccalaureate (IB) World School that offers an unparalleled education enriched by world languages, visual and cultural arts, and music instruction.   

“The Morris Jeff Community Gala supports Morris Jeff Community School and its movement to transform public education in our country,” said Principal Patricia Perkins.  “As an open-enrollment IB World School, we embrace learners of all backgrounds and hold students to the highest expectations. This Gala supports the programs critical to our mission and we hope everyone will come out to have a great time in support of our school.” Patron Party tickets are $140. Patron Party attendees will be treated to food and beverage by Pigeon’s catering and Republic National Distributors as well as a welcome address from our Head of School.
