KAPPA ALPHA PSI HONORS THE LEGACY OF FRATERNITY BROTHER MORRIS F.X. JEFF, SR. WITH ANNUAL SPRING FLING MARCH 27 AT MORRIS JEFF COMMUNITY SCHOOL

Pre-K through 2nd Grade students will celebrate Spring and collect treats for their baskets

WHAT:        In honor of Morris Jeff Community School’s namesake, the New Orleans Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity will host the annual Spring Fling for the PreK – 2nd grade students. The students will celebrate spring in the garden area as they collect treats in their baskets from stations outdoors. The fraternity supplies school supplies and festive trinkets for the students. Members of Kappa Alpha Psi share their time, attention, and gifts with the students to carry on the legacy of Morris F.X. Jeff, Sr., who was a member of the fraternity.

WHEN:        Wednesday, March 27, 8:30 – 10:30 am

WHERE:      Morris Jeff Community School, 

                    211 S Lopez St, New Orleans, LA 70119 (In the garden)

WHY:

Shannon O’Connor, MJCS Dean of Students, says, “We are grateful for the Kappa Alpha Psi’s contribution to our school community. By their example, the children are inspired to give back to the community in the same way as Morris Jeff and his fraternity brothers.”  

“The Kappa’s have been our partners since we opened Morris Jeff Community School,” said the Head of School, Patricia Perkins. “The spring fling allows our school community to feel the influence of Mr. Jeff and see his light shining through his fraternity brothers.”
