New Orleans Charter Science & Mathematics High School “Sci High” to hold Open House on January 6, 2022 New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School “Sci High,” a high-performing, open admission public charter school for grades 9-12, will hold an Open House for parents and prospective students on Thursday, January 6, 6 p.m. at its campus at 2011 Bienville St., New Orleans.  Sci High offers students cutting-edge and industry-focused STEM electives. Parents and students are invited to learn more about Sci High, tour the campus and meet the faculty and staff.   


Sci High recently moved to a new, $35 million state-of-the-art campus in the biomedical corridor in Mid-City.  Sci High’s new building is specially designed with a number of classrooms unique to the school’s curriculum,  with engineering classrooms, biomedical laboratories (including a virtual 3D human dissection table), computer centers, fabrication studios, and an outdoor construction area for larger projects. 


Students have access to Advanced Placement (AP) classes, paid summer internships, digital media classes, and robotics courses.  Sci High offers a robust athletic program and music and dance programs. Sci High offers LSU High School STEM Pathway courses (Engineering, and coming in 2022 – Comparative Anatomy & Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, and Computing).


Sci High features small class sizes in an encouraging, respectful atmosphere in an academically rigorous public school setting. Sci High dedicates many resources to supporting the whole child, through counseling support, a health clinic, tutoring and enrichment programs, and student-centered initiatives and training.
