Kenner Discovery opened in August of 2013 educating 420 students. Kenner Discovery has since grown to educate over 2,400 students in grades K-12. Discovery Schools provide a rigorous learning environment where students achieve academically, develop intellectual curiosity, and practice environmental responsibility while exploring health and science topics and careers. Discovery’s focus on health sciences allows us to “home grow” future healthcare professionals and healthy citizens for the community.

Dr. John Ochsner Discovery opened in August of 2020 serving grades K-4 at an interim location at 2012 Jefferson Highway. The school will move into a brand new, world-class campus on the John Martyn site at 1108 Shrewsbury Road in August 2021. The new campus will allow the school to serve 742 students in grades Pre-K-8 by 2023. Dr. John Ochsner Discovery replicates the demonstrated success of Kenner Discovery, founded in 2013. Discovery Schools provide a rigorous learning environment where students achieve academically, develop intellectual curiosity, and practice environmental responsibility while exploring health and science topics and careers. Discovery’s focus on health sciences allows us to “home grow” future healthcare professionals and healthy citizens for the community.
