Young Audiences Charter Schools Class of 2025

The Young Audiences Charter School (YACS) Commencement Exercise was held on Thursday, May 15th at 5:30 pm at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre. The Keynote Speaker was Terrance Osborne. Other special guests were  U.S. Rep. Troy Carter and Erica Seemann (Board of Directors President).

Diamond LeBoeuf, valedictorian, has been with Young Audiences since 2013 (1st grade). Her parents, Kennesha LeBoeuf and Erick Hogan, are Westwego residents. Diamond will be attending Southern A&M University to pursue a Nursing degree. Diamond was offered approximately $600,000.00 in scholarships offered from various institutions.

Meleia Williams, Salutatorian,
 has been at YACS since 2016 (4th grade). Her parents, Melvin Williams and Kelly Williams are Gretna residents. Meleia will be attending Howard University on an $80,000.00 scholarship pursuing a Criminology degree. Meleia has approximately $800,000.00 in scholarships offered from various institutions.

The top ten honor graduates list is completed with Asjah Clark, Cam’Ron Clark, Heaven Guzman, Aleria Haney, Hailey Lauland, Alexis Poole, Brandon Rascoe, and Treasure Williams.
