2ND GRADE MARKET DAY ON JANUARY 31

Students sell products they imagine and create

WHAT:Second grade students at Morris Jeff Community School are hosting Market Day for their families and peers. Students learn about economics and create their own products (or service) to sell to their classmates and adults who attend. Shoppers are invited to buy tickets for 25 cents each. Tickets are used to purchase student-made products. Cash and credit cards are accepted. The students have chosen to donate the proceeds to Glass Half Full, a local NOLA organization that turns recyclable glass into sand and uses it to aid in restoring Louisiana’s fragile shoreline. This event follows Morning Meeting in the gym at 8:30 am. Families are invited to join students and staff for songs, announcements, and celebrations of PYP Students of the Week.WHEN:
