Audubon Charter School Student Celebrates Kindergarten Graduation in Adorable Video

Two little words: not goodbye!
Audubon Charter School student Avyan Goyal is celebrating his “moving up” to 1st grade in song.  Avyan participated in Audubon Charter School Uptown’s Virtual Zoom Moving Up Ceremony today and his mom filmed his performance of a song taught to him by his Kindergarten teacher Mary Russell.  “I taught my students this song last year and it was one of the first things he asked about when we talked about moving up,” said Russell. “I didn’t think he remembered, so I was so surprised when he and his mother sent this video to me!”

Audubon Schools operates two high-performing charter schools on three campuses in New Orleans. Audubon Uptown offers two separate and unique programs with a French and/or Montessori track. Audubon Gentilly utilizes a new Montessori French Immersion academic model, combining the best practices and philosophies from the model of Audubon’s current schools.
