
WHAT: Audubon Schools proudly announces a major milestone — the first 8th grade graduating class of Audubon Charter School Gentilly. Opened in Fall 2018, the Gentilly campus added one grade level each year and has now reached full capacity, serving students in grades K through 8th. The Class of 2025 includes 49 graduating 8th graders.
Audubon Gentilly is part of the high-performing Audubon Schools network and offers a dynamic, hands-on learning environment with rich infusions of the arts. In 2023, the school achieved a remarkable two-letter-grade increase in its state School Performance Score (SPS), underscoring its commitment to academic excellence.

WHY: Audubon Schools is a unique network of public schools, encompassing Audubon Charter Uptown and Audubon Charter Gentilly across three campuses, as well as the new Audubon Baton Rouge (opening for the 2025-26 school year). Audubon is dedicated to providing a distinctive education rooted in Montessori methods, French language instruction, and the arts. Audubon Charter Uptown offers a French and Montessori focused curriculum, while Audubon Gentilly features an arts based approach paired with rigorous academic programming.
