Audubon Schools announces its 2022-23 Open Houses for parents and prospective students in grades K through 8th for its two schools: Audubon Uptown and Audubon Gentilly. Families must register prior to the Open House at:

Audubon Gentilly will host an Open House (grades K-7th) on Thursday, November 17, at 6:30pm at its campus at 4720 Painters Street, New Orleans, LA 70122, phone (504) 309-9434.

Audubon Uptown’s Lower Campus (grades K-3rd) will host an Open House on Wednesday, November 30 at 6:30pm at its campus at 428 Broadway St., New Orleans, LA 70118, phone (504) 324-7100.

Audubon Uptown’s Upper Campus (grades 4-8) will host an Open House on Monday, December 5 at 6:30pm at its new campus at 3128 Constance Street, New Orleans, LA 70115, phone (504) 324-7110.

Attendance at an Open House is not required to apply to Audubon Schools. If you are unable to attend one of our open houses, we are also hosting small-group tours at each campus. Interested families are welcome to register for a tour at the campus they intend to apply to at

Audubon Uptown offers two separate and unique programs, a French program and a Montessori program, in one great school.  Audubon’s French program is one of only two schools in the city that is fully accredited through the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and is also designated by the Louisiana State Department of Education as a Certified World Languages Site. Rather than an immersion program, students in this program receive an authentic French education experience. The Montessori program is the only public Montessori program in New Orleans that extends beyond the Kindergarten level.

Audubon Gentilly, serving students in grades K-7, is the second school in the Audubon Schools network. Rather than having to choose between a French or Montessori program, students at Audubon Gentilly experience a Montessori-based hands-on learning environment with French language and art infusions.

Audubon participates in the NOLA-PS Common Application Process (NCAP). Applicants should go to to apply.
