
Benjamin Franklin Elementary Mathematics and Science School to Distribute 300+ “Coats for Kids” to students on Dec. 15NOPD to give out Santa gifts to Pre-K – 3rd graders
WHAT: Benjamin Franklin Elementary Mathematics and Science School will distribute the 300+ coats it received as the recipient of a “Coats for Kids” fundraiser, organized by Xavier Professor and Cellist, Dr. Jee-Yeoun Ko. In November, Ko held a “Dr. Ko’s Coats for Kids Concert” in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy to collect coats. The Urban League of New Orleans also donated 200+ coats. In addition, the 2nd District New Orleans Police Department will be giving out Christmas gifts to Ben Franklin’s Pre-K thru 3rd graders that they asked Santa for this year.
