INTERNATIONAL DAY PARADE at

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LOUISIANA (ISL) 

Students and staff will celebrate cultures from around the world in true New Orleans style with traditional second line parades around campus wearing traditional dress from countries represented

ISL will hold its annual International Day Parade, a uniquely New Orleans year-end celebration. ISL students spend the year studying the different nations and cultures from around the world. On the last day of school, students and staff wear the colors and traditional dress of countries from around the world and carry flags as they second-line around the campus neighborhood, sharing the international experience and celebrating diversity within the local community,  in true New Orleans spirit.

Dedicated to cultural diversity and global awareness, ISL (grades K-8) is the only multi-language immersion school chartered by the State of Louisiana.  From their first day of school, students are taught core academic subjects in either French or Spanish. At ISL, children learn a second language naturally, through everyday conversation and classroom instruction.
