HCSC has a growth plan in place that has been intentionally cultivated through our expansion and replication efforts to model the success of our other two programs (Lakeview and UNO). HCSC will operate Mary D. Coghill K-8 Elementary School for the 2021-2022 school year, collaborating closely with NOLA-PS to ensure a successful transition year.

HCSC provides a warm, joyful, and collaborative environment where teachers, leaders, and students thrive. We are especially proud of

  • Our legacy of success.

We are deeply committed to furthering the success of our students and offer them the world-class education they deserve. In addition to rigorous traditional academic programs, Hynes offers French immersion education, gifted courses, talented programs, music classes, and numerous extracurricular activities to provide a balanced school experience.

  • Our family-like culture

Intentionally building strong relationships with our community, we are deeply committed to creating an environment where all students, families – and colleagues – feel supported.

  • Our Balance between Instructional Structure and Autonomy for all Educators

We know that our teachers bring their own unique expertise and understand their context well. Therefore, we offer peer-based professional learning communities to enhance collaboration, build supportive relationships, and further teachers’ professional development.

Hynes Charter School is committed to providing equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
