New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School (“Sci High”)

 to Hold Summer Internship Showcase

Sci High students will show off work they did at 41 paid student internships with mentoring by 11 companies over the summer 

WHAT: Forty-one New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School, “Sci High” students will show off the work they did this summer as they present and discuss their future in S.T.E.M fields after spending the summer with industry partners from across the city. The students participated in paid internships and mentoring with 11 companies over the summer.

WHEN: Thursday, July 28, 5-7pm

WHY: As part of one of the largest high school summer internship programs in the city, each year Sci High students are provided the opportunity to participate in paid summer internships with Sci High’s bevy of over 40 community partners. Students receive one-on-one mentorship where they can apply their learning, develop their soft skills, build their resume and create professional networks.

Interns were place with the following companies/organizations: Youth Force NOLA, Nola Flying Dress Project, Judge Pitman Criminal District Court, Adrian’s Bakery, Step Culture Internship, Facilities Internship, Sodexo, YAYA Youth Arts Camp, Rayne Early Childhood Program and Ochsner Capstone/ STAR.
