WHAT: An International School of Louisiana (ISL) French Immersion 1st grade class will be holding an Alice in Wonderland Tea Time in honor of the children’s book. The students, who learn their core academic subjects entirely in French, will be in costume and have a traditional British tea party while conversing en Français.
WHEN: Friday, April 30, 2:30pm to 3:15 pm
WHERE: International School of Louisiana (Dixon Campus) 4040 Eagle Street, New Orleans, LA 70118 (504) 934-4875
WHY: Dedicated to cultural diversity and global awareness, ISL (grades K-8) is the only multi-language immersion school chartered by the State of Louisiana. From their first day of school, students are taught core academic subjects in either French or Spanish. At ISL, children learn a second language naturally, through everyday conversation and classroom instruction. Committed to breaking down barriers in public education by teaching children to embrace diversity in their community, ISL is dedicated to providing all of its students with a unique and high-quality education and to helping young people develop, not only as students but also as community leaders and global citizens.
